Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

An equitable and high performing health sector is at the heart of delivering higher living standards and wellbeing for New Zealanders and we have an opportunity for an Analyst to join our Health team. You will have a lead role in developing advice to senior Ministers on key system policy settings and major infrastructure investments. This involves working alongside senior representatives across health agencies and working closely with the Minister of Finance's office. Ahead of Budget 2024, you will be involved in leading work to support agencies to move to a full, multi-year health budgeting arrangement.

Ō pūmanawa | About You

We are seeking a candidate with a broad public sector/policy background. Experience with infrastructure policy, Crown entities and/or Budget processes would be an advantage but is not essential. Our team has a long history of building successful analysts, who come from a range of backgrounds. This role has repeatedly been pivotal in providing the analyst with a springboard to swift and substantive career progression. If you have been successful in guiding critical and complex policy areas, and you understand how to use your communication, leadership, relationship and analytical skills to get traction on complex policy problems, then we would like to hear from you.
