What we are looking for:
Project Engineer Construction will be responsible for the construction management of project. This role would require the incumbent to cover all aspects including identification of opportunities, managing stakeholders, managing internal teams, contract negotiations and inter departmental coordination. The ideal candidate must have 2 years of experience as Construction Engineer for the energy sector with corporate clients. The successful candidate will get to work alongside an experienced team of renewable energy developers with an impressive track record.
Job Description: ·
The Project Engineer (P.E) shall be responsible to oversee and manage the project implementation in accordance with approved engineering design & reporting to COO.
P.E will be responsible for maintaining Shams’ HSE standards on site and comply with clients HSE policy as well ·
P.E will be responsible for timely completion of tasks/ project milestones · During implementation phase, the P.E will act as the key coordinator between the Shams HO, the Client, EPC Contractors and Project Site execution teams. To prepare progress report, attendance and submit a copy of same for record and accounting. ·
P.E will be responsible for providing the feedback to the Project Manager and Shams Power management on the quality aspects and practical consideration specific to the site on the proposed engineering solutions by the EPC team. ·
P.E role includes, but not limited to, quality inspection of civil, mechanical construction, Electrical Work, engineering documentation and quality assurance plans and their monitoring. ·
Conducting site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of solar power systems. ·
P.E is also responsible for managing on-site project inventory, Review of B.O.Qs, Drawings and design simulation reports ·
Preparation of As Built Drawings e.g., Layout, SLDs ·
Assist in preparation of project design, contract drawings and financial estimation · Other office work .
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the energy sector specially in construction of Solar PV Plants is mandatory
·Minimum BSc Engineering Electrical, Any HSE certification or course will be a plus
·Strong leadership and communication abilities demonstrated or titled position, (oral/written/presentation/interpersonal) to drive results in a team environment under minimal direction with internal and external customers.
·Proven track record of B2B sector, prior knowledge in Solar or renewables energy
·Good analytical and project management skills
